Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has made a big allegation to the ICC regarding the Indian team. Although he didn’t say anything openly, he made such a statement that whenever the Indian team plays, there is a lot of pressure on the ICC.
In fact, India beat Bangladesh by five points in a thrilling game. Even though this match was being played between India and Bangladesh, Pakistan’s high hopes were attached to this game. In fact, it took Pakistan losing that game to India to reach the semi-finals. Bangladesh gave a tough fight to the Indian team but could not win the game.
India set a target of 185 points ahead of Bangladesh and Liton Das gave his team a flying start. Bangladesh scored points with a better strike rate given the threat of rain. This is the reason why the team scored 66 runs in just 7 overs. Liton Das scored 60 runs on 27 balls with the help of 7 fours and 3 sixes. However, when he felt he would take the team to the brink of victory, the rain came. After the rain, Bangladesh got a target of 151 runs in 16 overs, which they couldn’t make.
The match started immediately after the rain – Afridi
However, there are reactions coming from Pakistan that despite the wet ground the game was done and because of that Bangladesh lost. During a chat on Pakistani channel Sama TV, a reporter made a simple allegation that the ICC wants to take India to the semi-finals anyway. At the same time, Afridi said there was pressure on the ICC. They said,
The people who were in the field with Liton Das sleeves must have been very amused. It was a great game. I know the game started immediately despite the heavy rain. Obviously, when India plays, there is pressure on the ICC. Many things are included in it. Overall, Bangladesh played very well.
