Pakistan team’s new batsman Mohammad Haris gave a big reaction to his smoky innings against South Africa. He recounted how his approach was when he went to bat on the power play after Rizwan’s wicket fell.
In fact, Pakistan suffered a major setback when Fakhar Zaman was absent due to injury. In his place, Mohammad Haris was included in the squad and he was also fed in the game against South Africa. No one expected Haris to play such a terrific round in his first-ever World Cup match.
Mohammad Haris has given Pakistan the impetus they have been looking for for many matches. The team’s first wicket fell in the first innings. Wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan continued after scoring 4 runs. After that there were no shots from captain Babar Azam but Mohammad Haris didn’t let the pace of the runs slow as he scored 28 runs on 11 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes. His staff is very popular.
I tried to take full advantage of power plays – Mohammad Haris
After the game, Haris reacted to his terrific hitting. In a video shared on Pakistan Cricket’s Twitter account, he said:
I was playing well in the net and going into the game with the same confidence. I tried to do better. Rizwan’s wicket came down early and that’s why I tried to take full advantage of the power play. That’s what the captain told me, play your natural game and don’t look at the bowler to see who’s ahead. He encouraged me a lot and I also targeted the short limit more.
