Maruti Suzuki Recall 2022: India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has brought bad news for its customers. Over 9000 units of the company’s three vehicles have been recalled. The rear brakes of these vehicles were found to be faulty. These three cars are Wagon R, Celerio and Ignis. That is, all three are cheap hatchbacks, which are bought heavily in India.
The car will be repaired free of charge
According to the information, Maruti Suzuki has recalled 9,925 units of Wagon R, Celerio and Ignis. The affected units were manufactured between August 3 and September 1, 2022. The company said a defect was detected in the rear brake assembly pin. Maruti Suzuki said keeping the safety of customers in mind, it has decided to recall the vehicle for inspection and the faulty part will be replaced free of charge.
The company said, “It is suspected that there is a possible defect in the rear brake assembly pin (‘part’), which may break and produce a strange sound. Also, the performance of the brakes may also be affected over a long period of time.
