Playing against South Africa in the T20 World Cup, Suryakumar Yadav performed brilliantly and scored half a century. Although the Indian team had to face defeat in the match, Yadav did his job well. Former South African captain Faf du Plessis has made an important statement regarding his stick.
Speaking on ESPNCricinfo’s show, Faf du Plessis said of Suryakumar Yadav that his talent is so high that as a bowler you don’t think you can tie him in certain areas. He all has different shots, he scores in all areas. What strikes me about him is his restraint. As someone who has all kinds of shots, I never see them in a rush.
Du Plessis went on to say that he knows when to pull the trigger, shifts gears and always looks cool. He’s just a brilliant T20 player to watch. As a young man, you can see how to go through different stages by changing gears.
It should be noted that in the match played against South Africa in Perth, the batsmen of the Indian team came out one after another, but Suryakumar Yadav did not change his natural game and continued to play fast. He played a brilliant innings of 68 runs on 40 balls. However, the Indian team lost the game by 5 wickets.
Beating first, the Indian team scored 133 points. Playing in response, South Africa chased the target in the final over. David Miller and Markram touched half centuries.
