Global Health owns and operates hospitals under the Medanta brand. The company is set to offer an initial public offer (IPO) of Rs 2,206 crore on November 3. According to the company, bidding for anchor investors will open on November 2. 500 crore worth of new shares will be issued in the IPO. Under the OFS, private equity major Carlyle Group-affiliated Anant Investments and Sunil Sachdeva (jointly with Suman Sachdeva) will sell the stake.

Global Health was founded by renowned physician Naresh Trehan. It is a leading private multi-specialty tertiary care provider in North and East India. Global Health operates a network of five hospitals under the ‘Medanta’ brand in Gurugram, Indore, Ranchi, Lucknow and Patna. He also has a hospital under construction in Noida. The total bed strength of the company is expected to cross 3,500 when the Noida-based hospital becomes operational in fiscal 2024-25. The total revenue of the company in the last financial year 2021-22 was Rs 2,205.8 crore. During this time he earned 196.2 crore rupees.
